In your trips to Glorietta 4, you may have missed this little Japanese eatery along the second floor. Sakura is right beside non-food shops, so that's understandable. Since the shop is pretty small, most of the tables are located along the corridor/walkway of the mall. This might be a turn off for people who don't like to have passers by within reach. Chesca and I've been here around once or twice before, and the food was ok. We stopped by today for a little ramen.
We ordered only one portion of their Miso Ramen (forgot the exact name, sorry!). We asked if they could give us a separate bowl (since we weren't that hungry and wanted to share) and the server asked us instead if we would like to have the ramen served in two smaller bowls instead. It's nice to see that there are restaurants in the country that actually helps its customers. Instead of just saying "hindi po pwede eh..." whenever you ask them to change anything about your order in the slightest. On to the soup: The ramen we ordered actually reminded us of la paz batchoy. Probably because it had a lot of garlic in it. It was a bit on the salty side, but had just a hint of that miso flavor (if you could find your way to it through the garlic taste). It did have a lot of veggies and meat in it, and even that squidball-like stuff with the pink swirl pattern on it. We like to call that an eraser :). And no, it tastes like a proper squidball, not like rubber.
It's not fastfood, so it isn't cheap (probably 200 or higher for just ramen) but if you need a quick break from your shopping and you'd like something new to try, you could always give Sakura a shot.
