We liked our previous experience at the Jupiter branch; this time we tried the one in Megamall for comparisons. We got the spicy broth and the sinigang soup this time. The sinigang was ok (though I did find it vinegar-y for some reason). We both found the spicy soup better tasting at Jupiter. The vegetables were nice, I really liked the Taiwan pechay. Too bad I missed the spinach refill.
We started off with barbecue chicken and tocino. It was just like in Jupiter: flavorful and tender. Of course we had more helpings than this :). I can still taste the chicken and the tocino. Mmmm.
Chesca always goes for the sliced beef and lettuce (the lettuce is off to the right side, out of the frame). I'm not particularly sure which cut of beef this one in the picture is. Either fried or done sukiyaki style in one of the 2 broths, the meat was quite flavorful. Even better with the spiced up vinegar dip they serve (we both like that perfect sauce taste).
We capped it off with some ice cream (because, why not?). There's the vanilla on top, and orange ice cream. Yes, the fruit. It tastes as weird as it sounds though it did remind us of the ol' Twin Popsies from Magnolia.
That set us back about 1100Php for the both of us. Considering all the food we had, it's pretty fair. Not to mention all the 90's songs that happened to be playing then; made us all feel nostalgic-like :). And old. But mostly nostalgic :). PS: we're having the spicy soup ("satay" I think they call it) all the way from now on.
