There are a LOT of places to eat in Quezon City. All tucked into the streets here and there, so you just have to (know where to) look. We went to a newly built building full of eateries along Maginhawa street in Diliman to sample some of Alfarsi's Persian Grill food. It's owned by some young entrepreneurs (who are friends of Chesca's brother), so show your support! PS: they're on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AlfarsiPersianGrill
Here's some beef kebab with a pita (you can swap out the pita with rice or vice versa at no extra charge, I think). It was good, the meat was not too dry or to wet and had a good amount of that Persian-y taste.
And to top us off, we had their special iced tea (for all you minors out there, it kind of looks like a beer, so you can pretend to be drinking). Alfarsi's shows some great creativity and variety in their menu, and they're backed up by some good cooks so you can count on quality. And price: this is meant to cater to students so don't expect to dole out that much cash to feed three people. I think the total bill for the three of us (me, Chesca and her brother) added up to just over 500Php, and no more than 600Php. So if you're ever in the vicinity, give Alfarsi's a try. Can't go wrong with that decision :).
